Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is a chronic, autoimmune disease, where one’s immune system attacks their body cells.The actual cause of RA is not yet revealed, but the doctors have come to some research, which can primarily help the patient to relieve their pain and restricts the disease from being getting worse.
RA can be treated
Doctors may not find any such single tests that reveal RA. There are some blood tests and X-rays, which help the doctors to decide about arthritis. After diagnosis, if any symptoms of arthritis are found, doctors may prescribe some anti inflammatory medicine like Ibufroben (advil) or Naproxen (aleve), which may help the patient to get relieve from pain and swelling. They may be helpful but shows some side effects, by creating some problem in your stomach or liver. If somebody is facing some sore in joints, doctors may push some injections of steroids like Corticosteroid into those joints and if some are found in more than few joints, doctors may prescribe some steroid pills. These steroids may cause some side effects too like creating some changes in your blood sugar level, and create some eye problems also. In order to get relief quickly, it depends on the patients’ determination to be well. If a patient does some physical exercise like jogging, walking, playing, and bicycling, it will enhance their muscles to move freely, restricting further complication.
RA is incurable in nature
As it is an autoimmune disease, and incurable in nature, it is very difficult to get rid of this disease. Though there is no specific treatment that can cure RA, but if a patient determines himself to fight against this disease, they may find relieve quickly by following some basic exercises, therapies, medication, and following a healthy diet. Maintaining this few things as your daily habit, will definitely provide relieve. There are several stories of a patient, suffering from this chronic disease, to have cured their arthritis, after a long span of ailment. Till now there is no cure of RA, but scientists are tirelessly working on this project to beat the laws of arthritis
As we know that RA is not the actual cause of a patient’s death. The disease like Cardio Vascular Disease (CVD), are caused by RA are more fatal. If a patient can fight those diseases by following proper lifestyle like losing weight, quitting smoking, maintaining Cholesterol level, doing some physical exercise and following a healthy diet can definitely be helpful to increase their lifespan, without having further complications. There is good news for the patients suffering from RA. A gene therapy has been successfully used to modify interleukin-13 cytokines. This therapy has been successfully used in rats but it will take some time to apply in humans.
